At Kaimara, we specialise in corporate photography and corporate videography projects that brings purpose-driven stories to life. Our recent collaboration with Checkers and Blind SA is a perfect example of how video can not only document change — but drive it.
This impactful corporate videography project focused on Checkers’ efforts to improve the accessibility of their Sixty60 app for blind and partially sighted users. Working hand-in-hand with Blind SA, a nonprofit organisation advocating for the visually impaired community, Checkers embarked on a journey to make their app more inclusive — and we were there to capture it all.

Documenting a Milestone in Inclusive Design
In October 2024, Checkers launched an updated version of their Sixty60 app. Following this, representatives from Blind SA — including Christo de Klerk (President), Jace Nair (CEO), and Nicole Roos (Advocacy Committee Member) — met with the Sixty60 development team to highlight accessibility barriers faced by blind users.
To provide actionable feedback, Blind SA submitted sound recordings using iPhone’s VoiceOver functionality, clearly demonstrating usability issues. These real-world insights set the stage for meaningful technical and strategic changes.
As experts in corporate videography, our role at Kaimara was to film this transformative process, capturing everything from initial feedback sessions to behind-the-scenes footage of workshops and app testing. Our storytelling approach combined high-quality visuals with authentic interviews, showcasing how accessibility can become a core business value.

Why Corporate Videography Matters
This project was more than a standard shoot — it was a powerful case study in inclusive technology. Our corporate videography team interviewed key stakeholders from both Checkers and Blind SA, highlighting the importance of collaboration and empathy in digital development. These interviews were paired with footage of team meetings, user testing scenarios, and the training of developers in accessibility tools.
This holistic approach not only helped tell the story effectively, but also demonstrated how corporate video content can support transparency, stakeholder engagement, and brand integrity.
Corporate Photography for Authentic Impact
In parallel with our video production, our corporate photography team captured striking images that portrayed the human side of this project. From close-up portraits of the Blind SA team to dynamic photos of collaborative sessions with developers, our photography added depth and emotion to the visual narrative. These images were used for internal reporting, PR releases, and Checkers’ own social media and marketing campaigns.
At Kaimara, we understand that corporate photography isn’t just about good lighting — it’s about capturing real stories that connect.

A Blueprint for Inclusion
The January 2025 update to the Sixty60 app reflected substantial improvements in accessibility. As Christo de Klerk, President of Blind SA, explained:
“Since the app update of January 2025, it is much more accessible. Not only did Checkers Sixty60 make technical enhancements, but they also invested in upskilling their developers, product owners and testers on accessibility paradigms and tools.”
Checkers’ proactive, inclusive approach sets an example for other South African companies. And we’re proud that our corporate videography helped tell this important story to a wider audience.
